"Yarn? Like in knitting yarn?" Mijn nieuwsgierige buurman op het vliegtuig. Die opmerkte dat mijn trui dan wel een eigen creatie zou zijn en daarna over zijn moeder en haar breien begon.

"You are a yarn yourself." Jonge gasten op donderdagavond toen ik naar de guesthouse stapte en een bord van het festival tegen kwam. Ze vonden het idee van een yarn festival maar grappig. Wat zouden ze nog uitvinden?

"Actually I am. I had to make some tough luggage decisions." Ze moet lachen van mijn antwoord.

"She knitted a lot of lace but couldn't find it. So she asked het spinner to make her some. Now every one's aunt and dog has it." De man van de stand van Black Bat Rare Sheep, waar ik niks kocht maar wel voelde aan de verschillende proeflapjes. Volgende keer?
