Let's cast on, zei ik enthousiast op het einde van dit postje. Maar ik moest nog een trui afwerken en ik had nog een rondbreinaald 6 nodig. Alles sleepte wat aan en op de eerste dag van het jaar begon ik eraan. Maar het weefsel voelde niet goed en dus sloeg de twijfel toe. Ik vond nog een rondbreinaald 5,5 waar liesl opstond en het was tijd voor drastische beslissingen. Het katoen is te dun voor dit patroon, dus probeerde ik een nieuwe proeflap. De stekenproef bleef perfect en het weefsel voelt goed. Een match! Tijd om de halfafgewerkte en twijfelachtige projecten achterwege te laten.



Let's cast on, I said at the end of this post. But I still needed to finish a sweater and needed to buy circulars 6. It all took longer than needed but finally on the first day of the new year I finally cast on. The fabric didn't feel right though, so doubt entered. I still had a circular 5,5 with liesl on, so it was time for some drastic decisions. The cotton is too thin, so I tried a new cast on. Gauge was still perfect and the fabric felt like it should be. A winner! Time to leave all those doubtful projects and unfinished projects from 2010 behind.
